Intellectual Property Protection (IPP) in Azerbaijan

Normative –legal basis progresses according to TRIPS demands with an aim of Azerbaijan Republic accidence into Worldwide trade organization (WTO).

Azerbaijan Republic is a member of following international agreements:

- Convention  approving WIPO (World  intellectual  property  organization);

-  Paris  Convention  on Industrial  Property  Protection;

- Madrid  Agreement  of  International  Trademark  Registration;

- Patent  Cooperation  Treaty;

- Eurasian   Patent  Convention;

- Budapest Treaty of  International  Admission of  Microorganisms Deposition for patent procedure;

- Locarno  Agreement  on  International  Classification  Industrial  designs;

- Strasburg   Agreement  on  International  Patent  Classification;

- Nice  Agreement  on  International   Goods  and  Services  Classification. 

Are concluded and implementing of bilateral intergovernmental agreements on collaboration upon Intellectual Property  Protection between Azerbaijan Republic and:

-         Russian Federation

-         Georgia

-         Kazakhstan

-         Kyrgyzstan

-         Uzbekistan

-         Ukraine

-         Belarus

-         Turkey
